Elusive Love

I listen to my heart, I know  the ears are listening
I probe my soul,I still don’t believe it
I don’t know much, but I know I all is gone
That may be all I need to know for now
I look at my eyes reflected in the mirror,
They’ve seen what beauty is so far
I look at my life, so beaten and shattered
That may be all I need to know for now
So many questions but still left unanswered
So much I have wanted in the world of love
Sometimes when I get close to the one
The only true love I think would be mine
That may be all I need to know for now
Sometimes I vow never ever to fall in love again
Sometimes I hate my heart still searching for passion
Sometimes I know, I forget easily
Sometimes I do know, love never comes my way
I don’t know much, except that I know
That may be all I need to know
I can still go on, on my own, and not need love
Every part of my body feels this way
That may be all I need to know.
