Valentine's (2013)

Valentine's has come again
A ritual of love forgotten for life's gains,
Lucre to be splurged on flowers and eclairs,
Evening dresses and candle-lit dinners;
Night to be coated gold and 'morrow silver,
Thence bouquets admired thrown into the river.
In offices all shapes and sizes painted red,
Nothing being done but gossiping about prince (not) charming,
Every Tom, Dick and Harry cursing the senseless cupid
Silly sweet nothings and (un)romantic rhymes quotes of the day.
