I Don't Believe in God; Pope Francis may Make Me Start Believing

I used to be a believer. Now I believe nothing. But I believe in myself. The day I woke up and doubted my beliefs in a God who allowed violence, death, and starvation; and saw inconsistencies in the teaching about this God, I gave Him the boot.

I hear Pope Francis is preaching a different gospel. I like his message, and the truth he is trying to force down people’s throats, and the doubting Thomases.

“All religions are true, because they are true in the hearts of all those who believe in them. What other kind of truth is there? In the past, the church has been harsh on those it deemed morally wrong or sinful. Today, we no longer judge. Like a loving father, we never condemn our children. Our church is big enough for heterosexuals and homosexuals, for the pro-life and the pro-choice! For conservatives and liberals, even communists are welcome and have joined us. We all love and worship the same God.”

I might consider going back to the church because this I really believe in today.

This seems to be Pope Francis’ Gospel. I want to shake his hand. That is if Sedevacantists don’t kill him before I make it to the Vatican.

In his latest bag of surprises, Pope Francis baptizes the baby of an unmarried couple in the Sistine ChapelPope Francis has previously spoken out to criticise priests who refuse to baptise the babies of unmarried women, calling them 'hypocrites' and emphasising the duty parents have to pass on faith to their children.

Who knows, Pope Francis might personally bless my ‘come we stay’ marriage with the woman I am cohabiting with, and along my ‘Mpango wa Kando (Mistress)’.
Pope Francis really rocks.
